Solo— Assess Business-Critical Function and Restoration Priorities

Move from coordination into structured system and restoration assessment.

Course 4 helps you evaluate which systems, information, data, and operational dependencies support your function during a disruption—and how restoration priorities may align to defined or draft phase goals.

If leadership-defined phase goals already exist, you will assess against them.
If not, you may draft functional phase assumptions as working inputs to support internal alignment.

What You’ll Receive

  • Access to all Course 4 Solo lessons
  • Participant Workbook (fillable PDF) for individual completion
  • Structured guidance for assessing systems and sub-systems
  • Framework for aligning restoration priorities by phase
  • Instruction for documenting information and data requirements
  • Knowledge checks for reflection (non-graded)

What It Does

  • Surfaces operational dependencies across systems and data
  • Clarifies what must function—and when—to help maintain service (at least to some degree), and helps you capture the systems, information/data, and operational dependencies that support critical functions.
  • Captures meaningful risks and gaps for visibility
  • Produces draft-level assessment outputs you may refine over time

Recommended Prerequisites (for best results)

  • Course 2 (Identify Business-Critical Functions) — to confirm what must function and when.

  • Course 3 (Define Roles & Build Draft Communication Playbooks) — to clarify escalation paths and coordination practices.

If you haven’t completed these courses: you can still proceed, but expect to spend extra time defining phase assumptions, dependencies, and escalation pathways.
